- India conducted a successful night test fire of its indigenously developed nuclear capable surface-to-surface Prithvi-II missile.
- It has a strike range of 350 km.
- It is also capable to launch from a mobile launcher.
- Prithvi-II is capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kg of warheads.
- It is powered by liquid propulsion twin engine.
- Prithvi was the first missile to have been developed by DRDO under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP).
