- The bill is named as Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Bill.
- Those guilty of causing riots and other disturbances will be liable to pay compensation under this Bill.
- The UP govt passed a similar bill in 2020.
- Haryana also followed suit and Uttarakhand will be the third state to enact such a law.
