- V Narayana samy, the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puducherry, has submitted the letter of his council of ministers’ resignation.
- The decision was taken as the Congress-led Government in the UT lost its majority (14 seats) in the Assembly.
- Following a series of resignations, the ruling government was reduced to a strength of 12.
- Two MLAs have resigned in January 2021 while another 2 MLAs resigned in February 2021.
