Puducherry’s 1st POPSK -Karaikal

- Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj inaugurated the first Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) of Puducherry at Karaikal.
- The Ministry of External Affairs has collaborated with the Department of Posts to set up these post-office passport seva kendra in head post-offices across the country in order to provide passport related services on a larger scale.
- The POPSK at Karaikal is the 60th POPSK to have become functional since the launch of the scheme in January 2017.
- It is the first POPSK to become operational in the UT of Puducherry.
