  • India is the most represented nation with 193 institutions on the list—surpassing Mainland China's 135 and Japan's 115.
  • Peking University retains the top position in Asia.
  • It is followed by the University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore.
  • IIT Delhi (44) has overtaken the IIT Bombay (48) to become India’s top-ranked institution.
  • IIT Madras ranks third in India in 56th position.
  • India’s presence in the top 100 includes six universities.
