- The London-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the QS World University Rankings 2022.
- Eight Indian universities have found a place among the best 400 global universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022
- Three Universities got featured among the top 200. They are,
- IIT-Bombay - 177.
- IIT-Delhi - 185
- IISc, Bengaluru - I86
- The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has also been adjudged as “world’s top research university".
- It has achieved a perfect score of 100/100 for Citations Per Faculty (CPF) indicator, which measures research impact.
- This is the first time that any Indian institute has scored a perfect 100 in research or any other parameter.
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of USA has topped the ranking for the 10th years in a row.
- MIT is followed by the University of Oxford of England in the second position.
- Stanford University of USA and the University of Cambridge of England shared the third spot.
