Quit-line number for tobacco users

- India has launched a quit-line number ‘1800-11-2356‟ on all the tobacco products packaged from Sep 1, 2018.
- India is the 4th such country in Asia after Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia to have a helpline number dedicated for helping people quit tobacco products.
- India is also the only SAARC country to launch the helpline number.
