- A three-judge Bench of the Supreme Court dismissed petitions seeking a review of its December 14, 2018 judgment upholding the purchase of 36 Rafale fighter aircraft.
- The bench was led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi.
- The judgement was delivered in the case “Yashwant Sinha and Others Vs CBI”.
- Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul delivered the main verdict that he authored along with CJI.
- Justice K.M. Joseph, the third judge on the Bench agreed with main verdict and suggested CBI probe with prior sanction in case of any material in the complaint.
