- The 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST) was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
- This is the first time the meet was organised outside Delhi.
- Banks, Manufacturers and financial institutions committed close to $386 billion or around Rs 32.45 trillion to the development of RE projects by 2030.
- Gujarat won the maximum number of awards during the event.
- Gujarat ranked on top under overall renewable energy capacity achieved and overall wind power capacity achieved categories.
- It was ranked second under overall solar power capacity achieved as Rajasthan pipped Gujarat to be at the top.
- Other top ranked states under these categories were Rajasthan (bagged two awards), Tamil Nadu (two) and Karnataka (two).
- Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand one each under overall hydro power capacity achievers category.
