- It was detected with Indian Rubella disease.
- Rubella is a contagious disease caused by a virus.
- It spreads when someone who is infected coughs or sneezes tiny germ-filled droplets into the air and on surfaces.
- Until the 1960s, Rubella was a common childhood infection.
- But after the MMR vaccine came in the market, the virus stopped spreading in the United States around 2004.
