- The Border Roads Organisation will build bituminous roads using an indigenous technology, “Rejupave” along Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
- This is developed by premier road research organisation, CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI).
- Rejupave asphalt modifier is a biooil-based product which lowers the heating requirement of bituminous mixes besides preserving the bituminous mix temperature during transit.
- Already this technology used for construction of roads at the Sela tunnel and LGG-Damteng-Yangste road sites at 14,000 ft and 18,000 ft altitude respectively.
