The Border Roads Organisation will build bituminous roads using an indigenous technology, “Rejupave” along Indo-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
This is developed by premier road research organisation, CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI).
Rejupave asphalt modifier is a biooil-based product which lowers the heating requirement of bituminous mixes besides preserving the bituminous mix temperature during transit.
Already this technology used for construction of roads at the Sela tunnel and LGG-Damteng-Yangste road sites at 14,000 ft and 18,000 ft altitude respectively.
