- A report named Renewables Integration in India 2021 was jointly launched by NITI Aayog and International Energy Agency.
- This report is based on the outcome of workshops held in three states along with the Governments of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
- This is to understand the energy transition challenges which is faced by these renewable-rich states.
- According to the report, India’s power system can efficiently integrate renewables (175 GW by the year 2022 and 450 GW by the year 2030).
