  • Only 6% of domestic workers worldwide have access to comprehensive social protection.
  • Women constitute 76.2% of the total domestic workforce.
  • And they are particularly more vulnerable in the absence of adequate social benefits.
  • 57.3% of domestic workers in Europe and Central Asia are legally covered for all benefits.
  • Little more than 10% have such a right in the Americas.
  • Almost none are fully covered in the Arab states, Asia and the Pacific and Africa.
