- The Republic Day event and the parade was held at the Rajpath in New Delhi.
- This year tableaux of 12 states were selected.
- Tableaux of Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand were shown at this year’s parade.
- Additionally, tableaux of nine ministries and departments of the Central government were at this year’s parade.
- The tableau of the Ministry of Civil Aviation was included in the Republic Day parade for the first time.
- The theme of this tableau was 'Udaan - Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik'.
