- The independent expert group, which was led by former US treasury secretary Lawrence Summers and chair of the 15th Finance Commission NK Singh, submitted volume two of its report.
- The report was titled ‘The Triple Agenda: A Roadmap for Better, Bolder and Bigger MDBs’.
- Volume one of the reports, submitted to the G20 ministers in July, had recommended tripling the annual lending levels of MDBs to $390 billion by 2030.
- The recommendations aim to enhance MDBs’ capabilities and optimize their functioning to drive global development priorities more efficiently.
- Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) are institutions whose members include multiple developed and developing countries.
