- In a joint project with Germany, Russia has launched Spektr-RG, a space telescope from the cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.
- It is a space observatory intended to observe black holes, neutron stars and magnetic fields.
- This telescope is called as Russia’s “Hubble Telescope”.
