- Safety Across Asia for the Global Environment (SAFE) is a United Nations project.
- It aims at surveying Asian wet markets and other facilities that pose a high risk of transmitting zoonotic diseases from animals to humans.
- Four Asian countries - China, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos - were initially selected for the survey.
- Now, China is not participating in this program and Vietnam and Laos also yet to approve the surveys.
