  • India has been ranked at 95th among 129 countries on the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Gender Index.
  • It is a new index developed to measure global gender equality.
  • It has been developed by Equal Measures 2030, a joint effort of regional and global organisations.
  • A score of 100 reflects the achievement of gender equality in relation to the targets set for each indicator.
  • With score of 89.3 Denmark topped the rankings followed by Finland and Sweden.
