- Kerala launched Seaplane service to connect various place with airports.
- Water dromes may also be established around major water bodies in all districts.
- The seaplane service comes under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN.
- It aims to enhance connectivity across Kerala's four airports and backwaters, offering subsidised fares.
- A trial run was conducted between Bolgatty water drome at Kochi Lake and Mattupetty dam at Munnar.
