The Indian Air Force will be carrying out a joint military exercise named ‘Shinyuu Maitri’ with Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) from 17 to 23 October 2019.
The joint exercise will be held at Air Force Station Arjan Singh in Panagarh town, West Bengal.
Another drill between ‘armies’ of same countries will also get underway in eastern theatre.
IAF’s C-130 J aircraft of Special Operations Squadron of and JASDF’s C-130 H of Tactical Airlift Squadron will participate in the exercise.
The first such bilateral military exercise was held in 2018 at Air Force Station Agra.
