The Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has launched six new features of National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) Platform with an aim to make it more users friendly.
The new and user-friendly features of the e-NAM platform are
MIS dashboard for better analysis,
BHIM payment facility by traders,
Mobile payment facility by traders,
Enhanced features on mobile app such as gate entry and payment through mobile,
Integration of farmer’s database, and
e-Learning module.
The e-NAM website is now available in Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Odia besides Hindi and English, while the e-NAM trading facility is available in 6 languages.
e-NAM was launched in 2016 with the objective of providing competitive and remunerative price to farmers for their products through online competent bidding process.
Currently, 479 mandis across 14 states and 01 union territory are covered under it.
