- Sri Lankan Navy is sending two ships to India to participate in the SLINEX 2019.
- SLINEX 2019 is a bi-lateral maritime fleet exercise between Navies of India and Sri Lanka.
- Since 2005, six successful SLINEX series of maritime exercises have been conducted.
- This has helped the two Navies in understanding each other's procedures and to contribute towards maritime security in the region.
