- The ninth edition of the Indian and Sri Lankan Navy bilateral maritime exercise SLINEX (Sri Lanka–India Naval Exercise) was held at Visakhapatnam.
- The exercise is conducted in two phases.
- The Harbour Phase took place at Visakhapatnam and the Sea Phase will take place in the Bay of Bengal.
- In October 2020, the previous edition of SLINEX was conducted in Trincomalee.
