- The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, in association with Panimalar Engineering College, recently developed a solar-power backed poultry incubator.
- This is designed for rural and small-scale poultry farmers.
- This over comes the disadvantage of electric incubators, which affects hatchability due to power shortage or frequent suspension of supply.
