- The FATF (Financial Action Task Force) has removed Sri Lanka from its ‘Grey List”.
- The FATF grouping monitors Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) procedures of member countries.
- The FATF is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 on the initiative of the G7
- It aims to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system.
- The FATF Secretariat is housed at the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) headquarters in Paris.
