- The Supreme Court has released the first set of the copies of its judgments in vernacular languages, including Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.
- Now the Judgements are available in nine vernacular languages – Urdu, Telugu, Assamese, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Bengali and Tamil.
- This is a part of the court’s initiative to make available the copies of judgments in the regional languages of India.
- The first 2 translated Tamil judgements were uploaded on Supreme Court’s website on 18.07.19. They are
- Rajagopal (Founder of Saravana Bhavan) and others etc. Vs the State of Tamil Nadu
- Joseph Easwaran Wapshare Vs Shirley Kathleen Wheeler
