- On October 1, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0) along with the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMTUT 2.0).
- These schemes were launched at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
- These schemes are designed to realize the aspiration of making all cities Garbage Free and Water Secure.
