- Chief minister laid the foundation stone for the development of Fintech City and Fintech Tower in Nandambakkam.
- The Fintech city is expected to attract investments to the tune of 12,000 crore and create employment opportunities to 80,000 people.
- A Fintech wing has been set up in the Guidance Bureau and a Fintech governing council led by the industries minister has been constituted by the government.
- The government provided incentives to firms investing more than 50 crores.
- TN already released a special policy called Tamil Nadu FinTech Policy 2021 to make Tamil Nadu a global hub for FinTech companies by 2025.
