- Chief Minister MK Stalin released Tamil Nadu’s first-ever policy for children.
- In India, Tamilnadu is the first state to release such a policy.
- It aims to ensure a safe environment and holistic development for them, including the provision of nutrition, education, healthcare.
- Tamil Nadu will regularly do a child budget analysis to allocate adequate resources based on the emerging needs of children, assessment of outputs, outcomes, indicators on various aspects that fall within the ambit of this policy.
- The policy will be revised every five years by reviewing the outcomes and impact achieved in the said period.
