- The Tamil Nadu Assembly session commenced on 2nd January 2019 with the customary New Year address by the Governor.
- The Assembly session would continue till January 8.
- A decision to this effect was taken at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting chaired by Speaker P Dhanapal.
