Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan presented the General Budget for 2022-23 in the House on March 18, 2022.
This is the second Budget of the DMK government.
It was presented as an e-budget.
A separate organization will be set up for Climate Change and green initiatives.

All girl students in Tamil Nadu who studied from classes 6 to 12 in Government schools will be paid Rs.1,000/- per month directly into their bank account till the uninterrupted completion of their undergraduate degree, diploma, and ITI courses.
A Mobile information centers would be launched for migrant workers.
New museums will be built this year in Villupuram and Ramanathapuram districts.
Tamil Nadu will launch the 'Perasiriyar Anbazhagan School Development Scheme' to modernize the government schools.
The State Startup Hub Centre with all facilities will be established by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation at Nandambakkam, Chennai.
