Tamilnadu Government school students qualify in NEET

- The percentage of government school students, who qualified in the exam, has increased from 22.1% in 2018 to 30.6% in 2023.
- The number of government school students who sat for the exam came down by 13% to 12,997 in 2023 compared to 14,979 in 2022.
- The average number of students who took part in the exam between 2018 and 2021 was only around 6,000.
- 1,31,519 (30.4%) of the 4,32,231 aided and private school students took the NEET exam in this year.
- In comparison, only 12,997 (3.5%) of the 3,71,154 government school students took the test in this year.
