- Titanic II, a modern replica of the 1912 RMS Titanic will set sail in 2022.
- The plan for this flagship was first announced by Australian millionaire Clive Palmer and his shipping company Blue Star Line cruise company in April 2012.
- It is being developed by CSC Jinling Shipyard, a state-owned shipbuilding company located in China.
- The ship will embark on a two-week-long maiden voyage, travelling from Dubai to Southampton (England), before tracing the original ship’s journey to New York.
- The original RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in April 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage.
