  • Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami presented State awards on 72nd republic day.
  • The floats by Health and Police departments won the first prize.
  • Rural Development Depart got the second prize.
  • Tourism and Information Technology departments won the third prize for the floats.
  • Salem City Police Station, Thiruvannamalai City Police Station and Kotturpuram Police Stations received the top three ranking stations across the State.
  • C Narayanasamy Naidu award for highest productivity in rice was given to G Selvakumar, North Srivilliputhur village.
  • K.A. Abdul Jabbar from Coimbatore district received the Kottai Ameer Communal Harmony Award for 2021.
  • Gandhi Adigal Police Medal to following four police personnel
    • T Magudeeswari - St Thomas Mount
    • N Selvaraju- Salem
    • S Shunmuganathan- Srivilliputhur and
    • S Rajasekaran- Thiruvannamalai.
  • Anna Medal for Gallantry awardees are
    • P. Mullai – The teacher who saved her 26 students from the LPG explosion
    • A. Prakash - Forest Veterinary Assistant Surgeon who involved in the rescue of an elephant that fell into a 60-feet deep well.
    • Loco Pilot J. Suresh - saved the lives of over 1,500 passengers on board the train.
    • R. Pugazendiran - saved the life of an injured policeman after a tree fell.
