- Self-Injury Awareness Day is observed globally on March 1st.
- This is to raise awareness about self-harming behaviours such as “cutting” and other intentional methods of self-injury.
- The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind has inaugurated a newly developed ‘Arogya Vanam’ at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
- The objective of this Arogya Vanam is to promote the importance of Ayurvedic plants and their effects on the human body.
- The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made the decision to approve 20% FDI via the automatic method in the Life Insurance Corporation.
- The government hopes that doing so, will make it easier for India’s largest insurer to be disinvested.
