- Indian Navy launched Operation 'Nistar' to evacuate 38 stranded Indian nationals in and around Socotra. Indian Naval Ship Sunayna, which was currently deployed for a mission in the Gulf of Aden, was directed to evacuate 38 Indian nationals stranded on the Yemeni island of Socotra in the aftermath of cyclone Mekenu.
