  • The Delhi government has announced to introduce a "happiness curriculum" in Delhi's government schools from the coming academic session. The curriculum will include meditation, moral values, and mental exercises and its core idea is to produce "Sarvagun Sampann" (versatile) professionals and human beings.
  • Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Vanijya Bhawan, a new office complex for the Union Department of Commerce, in New Delhi.  It will be a completely paperless office with state-of-the-art-facilities.
  • The Centre of Excellence in Maritime & Shipbuilding (CEMS), a well-funded start-up in skill development for maritime and shipbuilding sector, has announced setting up of 24 labs -6 in Mumbai and 18 in Vizag campus.
    • This is First-of-Its­-Kind Infrastructure in Asia Pacific Region.
  • The Uttarakhand High Court has banned whitewater river rafting, paragliding, and other water sports in the state until a policy on the same is framed by the Trivendra Singh Rawat-led government.
  • Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the MSME Ministry has adopted Jagatpur village in Delhi for its Swachhata Abhiyaan or cleanliness drive.
  • A 3-day National Yoga Olympiad was inaugurated at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in CIET in New Delhi. This is the third consecutive year of National Yoga Olympiad of NCERT. Two books – Joy of Theatre and Sangeet training packages were released on the occasion.
  • Armstrong Changsan (IFS: 1997), presently Consul General, Consulate General of India, Osaka-Kobe has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Iceland.
  • As strategic partners, India and Australia held the 10th Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism at New Delhi. The next meeting of the Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism shall be held in Australia in 2019.
