- Ravi Thapar (IFS: 1983), presently Ambassador of India to Panama, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Costa Rica.
- The Central Reserve Police Force launched 'Madadgaar Helpline', a distress helpline for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, with the aim of providing immediate assistance to locals.
- The Cauvery Water Management Authority set up by the Union ministry of water resources to resolve the inter-state water dispute is all set to have its first meeting on July 2 in Central Water Commission’s headquarters in New Delhi.

- Seema Nanda has become the first Indian American to be appointed as operational head of a major American political party.
- Chennai-based United India Insurance Company announced the appointment of K B Vijay Srinivas as its Director and General Manager. Prior to taking up the new role, he was serving National Insurance Company Ltd as its Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager.

- Senior journalist Rajat Sharma beat World Cup winning Indian cricketer Madan Lal by 517 votes to become the new president of Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA).
- The Uttar Pradesh Government launched 'Commercial Tax at your door steps' on the occasion of Goods and Services Tax (GST) Day celebration at the offices of commercial tax on July 1, 2018. The scheme will run from July 1 to August 31, 2018.
