- Renowned historian Ramachandra Guha has penned a new book titled "Gandhi: The years that changed the world (1914-1948)". It will be published by Penguin Random House India.
- Indian Prime Minister has announced to build a Gandhi Heritage Centre in Uganda's Jinja, where a statue of Mahatma Gandhi now stands.
- The NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission and MyGov platform jointly launched the ‘#InnovateIndia Platform’, a collaboration between both the platforms. The #InnovateIndia portal will serve as the common point for all the innovation happening across the nation.
- West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi inaugurated the 18th International Children's Film Festival in which 36 films from 17 countries would be screened. The festival was being organized by Cine Central, one of the oldest cine clubs of the country in collaboration with the UNICEF.

- The Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched a contest, '#Childline1098' to mark the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on July 30, 2018. CHILDLINE is India's first 24-hour, free, emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance.
