- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, headed by PM, has approved the appointment order of Scientist Vijay Prasad Dimri, as the president of the 36th International Geological Congress (IGC), issued by DoPT. IGC is a global platform for advancement of earth science, to be held in New Delhi in 2020.
