- Tamil Nadu State Government has officially notified that from April 5, 2019 Chennai Central Railway station will henceforth be renamed as Puratchi Thalaivar Dr.MGR Central railway station.
- Tamil Nadu Foodgrains Marketing Yard (TNFMY) and Madurai American College have signed an agreement to develop flavoured brown rice milk, which has health benefits; non-chemical jaggery from sugarcane juice and millet waffle for children.
- Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and India International Exchange (India INX) have signed a memorandum of understanding with Moscow Exchange (MOEX) to connect investor community and companies in both countries.
