  • The Rule 49MA of 'The Conduct of Elections Rules’ lists a six-month jail term and a Rs 1000 fine for false reporting of malfunctioning of EVMs and VVPATs.
    • A Plea has been filed in Supreme Court to declare this rule as unconstitutional.
