- Bihar government has announced that the state government will provide financial aid of Rs 1.5 Lakhs to transgender people who undergo sex reassignment surgery (SRS).
- Additionally, it will also set up a Kinnar Kalyan Board (Transgender Welfare Board).
- Pakistan has opened its airspace for civilian traffic effectively removing the ban on Indian flights that were not allowed to use majority of its airspace since the Balakot air strikes in February 2019.
- Every year France celebrates 14 July as National Day of France also known as Bastille Day.
- It commemorates the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille prison and the start of the French Revolution on 14 July 1789.
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lighted Victory Flame at National War Memorial in New Delhi on 14 July 2019 to begin celebrations of the 20th Anniversary of victory in Operation Vijay (Kargil War 1999).
- The Golden Jubilee Edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be held from 20-28 November 2019 in Panaji, Goa. Goa is the permanent venue of the event since 2004.
- In this years’ edition Russia will be IFFI's partner.
- Simona Halep of Romania beat Serena Williams of the United States with 6-2, 6-2 in finals to win Women’s Singles Wimbledon Title 2019.
- She is now the 1st Romanian to win singles crown at Wimbledon. She has also won the French Open in 2018.
- Department of Telecom and Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations signed an MoU to develop a Broadband Readiness Index for Indian states and Union Territories to attract more investments in the sector.
- The President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob has appointed India’s former Supreme Court Justice AK Sikri as an international judge in the Singapore International Commercial Court with effect from August 1, 2019.
- His term will expire on January 4, 2021. At present, SICC has 16 international judges.
