- Tamilnadu government has announced an annual award in the name of SP. Adithanar to recognise one Tamil periodical, daily, magazine each which promotes Tamil heritage and those that are published in chaste Tamil uninfluenced by other languages.
- Indian Army has successfully carried out summer user trials of NAG missile at Pokhran Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan. This paves the way for production and induction of the missile system into the Army.
- Researchers at Canada’s University of British Columbia are developing a high-performance cricket bat called ‘Algobat’ using computer modelling and optimisation algorithms.
