- The Central Drug Control Standard Organisation (CDCSO), India’s top drug controller has permitted Gilead Sciences for marketing authorization of its anti-viral drug ‘Remdesivir’.
- Remdesivir had also been used during the Ebola outbreak.
- The 36th National Games, which were scheduled to be held between October and November in Goa, have now been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 pandemic.
