  • India and Australia have signed a historic agreement, called ‘Mutual Logistics Support Agreement (MLSA)’, to allow access to military bases for logistics support.
  • The Union minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari launched the United Nations Development Programme campaign called “Prevention of Human and Animal Mortality on highways”.
    • The campaign is launched to bring down the accident rates.

    • The Ambarnaya River flows into environmentally sensitive Arctic Ocean.
  • The Union Power Minister R K Singh initiated the ‘#iCommit’ campaign to commemorate World Environment Day.
    • The initiative calls upon all stakeholders and individuals to continue working towards energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability to create a robust and resilient energy system in the future.
