- The Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami inaugurated7.87 km two-tier flyover, the longest bridge in the State, at Salem.
- He announced that the flyover would be called Puratchi Thalaivi J. Jayalalithaa two-tier flyover.
- The Tamil Nadu government has notified that 1018 towns and cities have been rechristened throughout the state to suit their Tamil pronunciation.
- It was done by the Ministry of Tamil Official Language, Tamil Culture and Archaeology (Government of Tamil Nadu).
- The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has reconstituted a committee to look into the welfare of freedom fighters.
- It is formed with the minister of state for home affairs G Kishan Reddy as the chairman and nine “eminent freedom fighters” from across the country as its members.
- The Digital technology firm in the waste management space "Recykal" has joined hands with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) for developing sustainable plastic waste management practices.
- It is called Project Prithvi, a pan-India partnership.
- Renjith Kumar, an aerospace entrepreneur hailing from Thiruvanatha puran of Kerala, has been bestowed with NASA Distinguished Service Medal.
- It is an award similar to the NASA Service Medal, but awarded to non-government personnel.
