- The South Central Railway (SCR) has become the 1st railway zone in the country to complete 100% LED lighting at all the stations under its jurisdiction. This is expected to save 32 lakh units of electrical energy worth Rs.2.7 crore per year.
- Bihar Government has banned sale of loose cigarettes in the state. Bihar is the 12th state in the country to bring such a ban into effect after Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi and others.
