- The Tamilnadu state has come out with Rs 300 crore COVID-19 assistance package to benefit 1.4 lakh people under the Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project (TNRTP).
- The fund for the project is backed by the World Bank, which was announced by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy.
- It will bridge the supply-chain gap in rural enterprises during the lockdown.
- It will help farmers, producers and women's self-help groups.
- The fund will provide hope to these migrants who want to start their own enterprises in the state.
