- The Central Government has approved the GPS-based technology for toll collection with an aim to ensure seamless vehicle movement.
- The move is expected to enable India to be ‘toll booth free'.
- Under the GPS-based toll collection system, the toll amount will be deducted directly from the bank account of the person based on the movement of vehicles.
